Shae Jonsson

Physiotherapist

I graduated from James Cook University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and returned to the beautiful Tablelands in 2016 with my husband to be closer to family and the country lifestyle. As a born and bred Tablelander, I loved growing up alongside my four brothers on a farm near Ravenshoe.
I have always been passionate about physiotherapy and genuinely care about helping people recover from injury and return to doing what they love. Over the years, I have developed a comprehensive approach to treating musculoskeletal injuries that combines hands-on therapy with retraining correct movement patterns. I have a particular interest in women’s health conditions, as well as shoulder and lower back injuries.
My journey into women’s health began in 2016, but my passion for the field truly deepened after having my own children. Since then, I have undertaken additional training across many areas of women’s health, including pessary fitting and management, pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, and pregnancy and postpartum body work.
Outside of work, I’m an active, outdoorsy person who loves to water ski and play touch footy. I feel incredibly grateful to live and work in the community I grew up in and to support others in achieving their health and wellness goals.

Alice Cook

Physiotherapist

In 2014, I graduated from James Cook University, having completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. I have continued my studies since then, attending a variety of courses focused on body specific assessment and treatment, exercise rehabilitation, chronic pain management, neuromeningeal manipulation, Acupuncture and more. I am now leaning into a more holistic treatment approach utilizing the visceral therapy method. Rather than focusing on just symptom management, I enjoy the challenge of trying to find the underlying restrictions in your body that limit optimal function and consequently lead to symptoms over time.
I grew up on a property in Central-Western Victoria and love living in a rural setting. I’ve tried my hand at many sports over the years including gymnastics, water polo, women’s rugby, soccer and touch. I continue to enjoy playing touch and help with the running of the local Atherton club. I enjoy snuggling with my dogs, freshwater swims on a hot day, a walk or hike in one of the beautiful outdoor locations we a surrounded by, spending time in my garden, creating something in the kitchen, or reading a good book.

Lucinda Hartge

Physiotherapist

I began my career as a physiotherapist with a passion for supporting and empowering hardworking rural people. My goal has always been to help individuals develop the skills they need to manage their health, recover from injury, and continue doing the things that matter most in their lives.
Originally from Mt Garnet, I studied at JCU in Townsville, graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2016. I was proud to be part of the team that founded Healthwise Physio in 2018, and have since enjoyed settling on the Tablelands with my husband, Chris, and our daughter, Anna.
Physiotherapy remains one of the most rewarding parts of my life. It truly lights me up to see people striving toward—and achieving—better health. While physiotherapy is wonderfully diverse, I have particular interest areas and hold postgraduate competencies in vestibular disorder management. I also have a special passion for helping people rehabilitate from back injuries.

Amy Stokes

Physiotherapist

I grew up on a farm in Northern New South Wales before setting off to travel and explore the world. When I returned to Australia, I settled in Rockhampton, where a personal injury led me to see a physiotherapist. That experience sparked my passion for physiotherapy and inspired me to pursue a career helping others regain movement and independence. I went on to complete my Honours degree in Physiotherapy at Central Queensland University in 2021.

Since then, I’ve continued to expand my professional knowledge through further study and development, with particular interests in temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction, vertigo, and supporting older adults to maintain their independence and quality of life.

After graduating, I moved to the Atherton Tablelands and quickly fell in love with the region. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, and spending time outdoors with my daughter.

Kate Bennett

I graduated from James Cook University, Townsville in 2022 and began my physiotherapy journey at the start of 2023. Since then, I’ve developed a strong passion for women’s health, completing further training in early 2024 to specialise in this area. I also have a keen interest in sports physiotherapy and rural general practice, and I love the variety and challenges that come with helping people across all stages of life.

Originally from Noosa, I made the move to Townsville for my studies and have since fallen in love with North Queensland. In my spare time, you’ll find me doing CrossFit, walking my dog Daisy, or out exploring the beautiful Tablelands.
